Bobby Davro gets his skates on
Monday, 29 June 2009
Bobby Davro is taking early ice skating lessons to prepare for 'Dancing On Ice'.
The hit celebrity skating contest is not due to return to screens for several months but the former 'EastEnders' actor is one of several stars opting to begin training now.
A source said: "Poor Todd Carty had everyone in stitches last year when he narrowly avoided a fall live on air by thundering down the rink tunnel.
"This time around Bobby was forced to put his hands out to save himself from falling as he took to the ice for training. He had difficulty getting to grips with the ice moves but is determined to be in shape when it matters."
Bobby, 49, was joined at the north London rink by former 'Coronation Street' star Tracy Shaw and 'The Bill' actor Gary Lucy.
Other stars set to appear in the ITV1 contest - which is presented by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby - include glamour model Keeley Hazell, former S Club 7 singer Tina Barrett and former Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies.
