Ryan Thomas' topless rating effect
Thursday, 24 July 2008
Ryan Thomas has revealed 'Coronation Street' bosses have scripted more topless scenes for him.
The 24-year-old actor - who is expecting his first baby with girlfriend, and 'Coronation Street' co-star Tina O'Brien - admits he is surprised by how much ratings are affected when he bares his muscles on screen.
He said: "The fuzz is coming back because I get a lot more fanmail when I don't shave my chest!"
However, Ryan revealed Tina is less than happy with bosses' decision to bring back Ryan's hairy chest, adding: "My girlfriend much prefers my chest when it's smooth!"
Ryan recently admitted he and Tina are in no rush to get married, and are happy to wait until after their baby is born before tying the knot.
He said: "To be honest we're really, really happy as we are at the moment. We've been to a lot of fellow cast members' weddings recently and people keep asking us that question but we're just really happy as we are for now."
