Katherine Kelly stuck in Becky's 'horrible' clothes

Tuesday, 27 October 2009

Katherine Kelly said wearing her 'Coronation Street' character's clothes for two days was "horrible".

The actress was left stranded in Romania with nothing her character, Becky Granger's, wardrobe when her luggage was lost on the way to filming a 'Coronation Street' special earlier this year - and she said it wasn't a pleasant experience.

She told Closer magazine: "It was horrible. I had no underwear so I just wore Becky's bikinis - it was gross!

"In the evenings I wore the same clothes I'd worn on the flight, it was disgusting. But the good thing was that we were filming scenes where Becky is hungover from an all-nighter, so the fact I felt so awful actually helped."

Katherine - who has been single since splitting from her boyfriend of five years, actor Oliver Williams, 29, in July this year - also recently admitted she is not rushing to get married as she has acted out enough weddings in her professional career.

She said: "I'm quite happy being single. As for getting married, I don't have strong feelings really - I can take or leave it. I've already been married six times in my career as an actress - twice as Becky - so I think a wedding of my own might feel too much like work!"
