John Thomson's Corrie role

John Thomson has been signed up to star in hit ITV soap 'Coronation Street'.
The former 'Cold Feet' star - who played Pete in the 90s TV show - will star as children's entertainer Jessie when he appears in three episodes of the soap next year.

A source said: "Getting John in 'Coronation Street' is a real coup. He is a fantastic actor and a very funny guy. He joins a long list of comedians, including Peter Kay and Roy Hudd, who have made the switch to 'Coronation Street'. He is guaranteed to bring a lot of humour on to Weatherfield's cobbles."
A spokesperson for the show added: "We are delighted John is joining us."
The 39-year-old actor - who lives in Greater Manchester with his wife Samantha and daughter Olivia - has previously appeared in 'The Fast Show', 'Blackpool' and 'Men Behaving Badly'.
He also voiced a character in 2005 movie 'Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit'.
