A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "She thought she had finally found a man she could trust. Eileen is devastated at losing Jesse - especially to Julie."
Julie - who's feud with Eileen (Sue Cleaver) started when she discovered they are related- deliberately sets out to win Jesse in order to hurt Eileen.
Julie - actress Katy Cavanagh - styles herself as a magician's assistant in order to get up close and personal with Jesse, and the pair quickly begin romping.
Meanwhile, another 'Coronation Street' star is set to get a hard-hitting storyline, with kitchen fitter Joe McIntyre (Reece Dinsdale) set to become addicted to painkillers.
Joe begins taking the prescription medication after suffering a back injury, but quickly becomes dependant on them.
He lies to doctors in order to get new prescriptions, suffers mood swings and even becomes violent towards partner Gail Platt.
A source said: "Everyone knows that heroin and cocaine can ruin lives, but addiction to prescription drugs is rife and rips respectable families apart. Most soaps have featured illegal drug addiction but painkiller addiction is almost unheard of.
"It will highlight a real issue for modern Britain as viewers see the terrible effect Joe's addiction has on Gail and daughter Tina."
