Gray O'Brien's heartthrob no
Friday, 5 September 2008
'Coronation Street' star Gray O'Brien doesn't think of himself as a heartthrob.
The actor - who plays Tony Gordon in the ITV soap - says despite his hundreds of female fans, he can never get his head round his sex symbol status.

He said: "I don't see myself as a heartthrob, and just find it all very amusing. I don't even read my fan mail. I'm just a jobbing actor from Scotland!"
Gray also revealed he was terrified when he started on the hit show.
He added: "On my first day at 'Coronation Street', I was having kittens. It was my father's favourite show and if he's looking down now I think he would be tickled to see me in it."
The smouldering star added he first knew his father approved of his choice of career when he was starring in medical drama 'Peak Practice'.
He said: "Before my dad died, he visited me on the set of 'Peak Practice'. He could never understand why I didn't have a 'proper' job, but he was so excited that day and I realised he was proud of me."
