Coronation Street - Paul finds Jack's betting slip
Monday, 18 February 2008
18 February 2008 @ 8.30-9pm on ITV1
A nervous Carla (Alison King) goes downstairs to get the tyre iron from her car and heads back up to the flat. She's baffled when she enters to find the table set for a candle lit dinner for two with some soft music playing and when she sees someone come out of the bedroom she swings for him and is furious when she discovers the intruder is Tony (Gray O'Brien).
Carla demands that he leave and is livid when he doesn't take any notice of her. As they row it's clear there's still chemistry between them and the argument eventually turns into a passionate kiss as they head for the bedroom. Relaxing post-coital, the couple continue to banter and they're both enjoying playing games. Is the relationship back on?
Tyrone (Alan Halsall) and Molly (Vicky Binns) have decided they don't want Paul (Tom Hudson) to stay on as a lodger at No.9. Meanwhile, back at the house, Paul's elated when he finds Jack's (William Tarmey) winning betting slip amongst Vera's belongings. He's waiting to present it to Jack but when Molly and Tyrone tell him he'll have to start looking for somewhere else to live, he slips the ticket in his pocket. Will he come clean about the ticket or will he steal more money from his grandfather?
Violet (Jenny Platt) is really starting to lose her patience as everyone seems to think she's being ungrateful and harsh on Sean (Antony Cotton) by telling her that after all it is his baby. Later, when a passer-by sees Jamie (Rupert Hill) with Violet and assumes he's the father, they admit that's all they want and Jamie suggests that if they weren't in Weatherfield, they'd be able to live like a normal couple. Violet knows that they'll never be able to have the life they want if they stay on Coronation Street, but will they have the courage to leave? How will Sean react?
Elsewhere, Gail (Helen Worth) is incredulous when Tina (Michelle Keegan) and David (Jack P Shepherd) take over the house with their mess and leave her with all the dishes to clear up. How will she feel when David reveals she's moving in for two weeks?
