Alison King's Liam letters

'Coronation Street' star Alison King received letters of condolence following the on-screen death of her secret lover Liam Connor.
The actress - who plays villainous Carla Connor in the ITV soap - says fans sometimes find it difficult to distinguish between fiction and reality while watching the show.

She said: "I've received all sorts of things - such as a 'Carla and Liam: You Are Not Alone' CD full of songs! I keep getting sent letters of condolence too. I'm glad our gamble to do the 'Liam murder week' paid off though, because it was a bit of a risk."
Alison, who is expecting her first child with partner Adam Huckett in February, also revealed she is keen not looking forward to taking time off work ahead of the birth of her baby.
She added: "I'm really, really excited about the baby but also really terrified. I'm absolute knackered but in a weird way, I'm not looking forward to going on maternity leave either. I've not been off work for any length of time in about 11 years so it's going to be so strange for me!"
