Great British Menu - Northern Ireland chefs do battle
Monday, 28 April 2008
It's Noel McMeel versus Danny Millar this week on Great British Menu, as the chefs from Northern Ireland go head to head to secure a place in the final of the competition.
It's going to be a tough choice for the judges, as both chefs set the bar very high in the qualifying stage of the competition.
Judge Matthew Fort described Noel McMeel's cooking as: "Food that showed enormous character, with cooking firmly rooted in tradition that has been invigorated and refreshed. It is simply a delight to eat."
Matthew went on to describe Danny's as: "Cooking of great personality and great style and really delicious."
With high expectations set from the chefs, coupled with Northern Ireland being well known for the fine quality of local produce available, the judges will be anticipating food of the highest standards as Danny and Noel battle it out to see who will fly the flag for Northern Ireland in the final of the competition.
Jennie Bond is the narrator.
This episode is on BBC ONE, Monday 28 April 2008 @ 6.30-7pm.
