Joanna Page´s Stacey hint

Gavin and Stacey actress wants a third series

Tuesday, 8 April 2008

'Gavin and Stacey' star Joanna Page has hinted there is likely to be a third series of the hit TV show.

The actress - who plays Stacey Shipman in the programme - says rumours it will finish after this year's Christmas special aren't definitely true.

She said: "They did say we'd do the Christmas special and then that would be it, but Ruth Jones, who writes the show with James Corden, just told me the other day that they think there is still somewhere to go with the characters. So, while there's no definite yes, I do think that they've started to think about it. I'd be so happy if they did!"

However, Joanna - who is married to British actor James Thornton - revealed her broodiness could affect the likelihood of a third series.

She added to Britain's New! magazine: "James Corden has a gorgeous best pal called Charlie Baker. He's a comedian and has just had a little baby called Stanley. My husband and I want to steal him! I'm definitely getting broody. Every time we go and see him, we just want to take him away with us.

"He's adorable. I'm not sure when James and I will have one. I couldn't really turn up to film the 'Gavin and Stacey' Christmas special with a big bump!"
