Jeremy Kyle's shaky crash
Wednesday, 23 July 2008
Jeremy Kyle was left "shaking like a leaf" following a car crash that nearly killed him on Monday (21.07.08).
The ITV talk show host was not injured in the collision which occurred on the A1 motorway near Nottinghamshire when his chauffeur-driven BMW crashed into a Mazda sports car.
The Mazda turned upside down over the central reservation and ended up on the opposite side of the road, while Jeremy's BMW crashed into the central reservation and was left seriously damaged.
Following the crash, after which he was questioned by police, Jeremy, 43, said: "Thank God no one was injured. In any accident, you're shaken but I'm fine."
Emergency workers, who arrived on the scene in an air ambulance, said it was a "miracle" that nobody died in the collision.
Darren Shannon, who was in the Mazda said: "Jeremy was just sitting on the verge looking really shocked. He wouldn't say a word - he must have been in shock.
"I was absolutely petrified. I was upside down in my car on the wrong side of the dual carrriageway. If something had been coming the other way I would have been annihilated. The emergency crew said Jeremy was shaking like a leaf."
