Ben Adams' close shave

Ben Adams was nominated but saved from eviction by his 'Celebrity Big Brother' housemates last night (06.10.09).

Ben's coup means TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson and glamour model Lucy Pinder now face the public vote on Friday (09.01.08).

The former A1 singer was nominated by Head of House Terry Christian earlier in the day as the housemate with the "least integrity" after Terry viewed videos of three housemates giving their opinions on him.

Reluctantly choosing Ben, Terry said: "I'm going to pick him because I think he is the least likely to be voted out."

Later last night the three nominees were called into a private room where they could see and hear the rest of the house.

They then watched as it was revealed Terry had secretly been nominating contestants and had chosen Ulrika for having the "most inflated ego", Lucy for being the "least talented contestant" and Ben.

The other housemates, excluding Terry, were then given 30 seconds to silently write which housemate they would like to spare from eviction. Ben was the overwhelming winner, voted for by five of the seven housemates, with Mutya voting for Lucy and Tina voting for Ulrika. Ben, Ulrika and Lucy were then allowed to join the other housemates.

Upon their arrival, Terry asked: "Are we allowed to talk about this then?"

To which Lucy replied: "Yes - but I'm going to bed."

Ulrika later expressed her desire to be evicted in the early hours of this morning, saying: "I'll be mortified if I don't go on Friday".
