Susan Boyle CDs fetch thousands

CDs featuring 'Britain's Got Talent' star Susan Boyle are fetching £1,000 on eBay.

The 48-year-old Scottish star recorded the album in 1999 and just 1,000 copies of the rare CD were produced.

Now fans of the singer are embroiled in a bidding frenzy on the online auction website as they fight to get their hands on the disc, which includes her version of Ella Fitzgerald song 'Cry Me A River'.

Meanwhile, videos of the singer - who says she has never been kissed - have become some of the most popular recordings that website YouTube has ever seen.

Stars including actor Ashton Kutcher and his wife Demi Moore have helped Susan become a global sensation by posting links to these videos on their Twitter web pages.

Susan has also revealed she wants to work on her "frumpy" appearance in light of her new found fame.

She said: "I'll need to sort out my dress sense and weight. It wasn't until I saw myself on TV that I realised how frumpy I was. I want to look nice and smart."

A spokesperson for the ITV1 show revealed Susan has been inundated with job offers since she starred in the opening programme two weeks ago.

On Monday (20.04.09) she was given a film offer from the US to star in upcoming movie 'Section B', which also stars singer Cyndi Lauper.

The film's director, Darla Rae, said: "Susan's real-life story is exactly what the movie is about - chasing your dream no matter what. When Susan stepped onto the stage and began to sing, tears welled up in my eyes."
