Britain's Got Talent - George Sampson got Amanda Holden's vote
Tuesday, 3 June 2008
Amanda Holden didn't want Faryl Smith or Andrew Johnston to win Britain's Got Talent.
She thought dancer George deserved to win more.
The actress told the official Britain's Got Talent website: "I cannot tell you how thrilled I am that George has won.
"Without a doubt Faryl and Andrew were huge contenders, they were singers, but I have said right from the start that I want a non-singing act to win and George was my favourite."
Amanda thinks winning the show will be life changing for the young schoolboy. She insists that he's not a sob story.
She adds: "It's brillant...it's not a sob story. He was a fighter and he fought all the way to the top...genius."
The nicest judge is hoping she'll be on the judging panel again next year: "I love it so much and I can't wait to start again but it's like a year away.
"It's a cliche, it's a rollercoaster, like being on the Big One... massive highs to crashing in lows when I'm doing this show."
