Amanda Holden's US surprises

Amanda Holden's US surprises

Monday, 22 June 2009

Amanda Holden is to host a re-vamped version of 'Surprise Surprise'.

The 'Britain's Got Talent Judge' is set to star in US TV show 'The Wish List', which will see Amanda American viewers' dreams come true.

Amanda said: "The US networks asked if I'd like to come over. I said, 'Try to stop me!' "

The show is like Cilla Black's 'Surprise Surprise' - which aired in the UK in the 80s and 90s - and will see Amanda arranging for viewers to meet up with long lost relatives, or meet their idols.

Amanda, 38, filmed a pilot in Britain but it was not taken up.

American TV bosses snapped up the idea after watching Amanda on TV talent show 'Britain's Got Talent' - a clip of her judging singer Susan Boyle on video sharing website YouTube has been watched by 100 million people around the world.

A source explained to Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "This is great news for Amanda. She is warm and caring, which viewers love."
