Jade Goody's hospital arrival

Jade Goody checked into hospital today (12.09.08) to undergo an eight-hour hysterectomy operation.
The former 'Celebrity Big Brother' contestant - who was diagnosed with cervical cancer earlier this year - looked calm as she arrived at London's Royal Marsden Hospital for the procedure which involves the surgical removal of the uterus or womb.

A spokesperson for the mother-of-two said: "Obviously she's feeling very anxious but she's in the best possible hands and having the best possible treatment. We're all staying positive and looking forward to her speedy recovery."
However, a source close to the 27-year-old beauty - who has a three-year-old son Freddie and five-year-old son Bobby with former boyfriend Jeff Brazier - said she is finding it hard to cope when she is by herself, adding: "Jade is terrified - she's not in a good state at all. She has been putting on a brave face for her sons."
Following the hysterectomy, Jade will also have chemotherapy and radiotherapy at the hospital to ensure the cancer is completely gone.
Jade first discovered she was suffering from the disease when she was appearing on 'Big Boss', India's version of 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
