American Idol - Jennifer Hudson's unfussy fashion
Wednesday, 14 May 2008
'Sex and the City: The Movie' star Jennifer Hudson doesn't know her designer labels.
The singer-and-actress, who was discovered on 'American Idol', revealed that despite starring in the fashion-conscious movie, she's not really into clothes.
Hudson said: "I have never been label-crazy. But I wouldn't do a knock-off. In a recent interview they asked me what was I wearing. And I said, 'I have no idea.'
"To be honest, I don't like any shoes. And I can't stand heels. I don't know what are the highest heels I ever had. And I won't last in them too long, at all."
Oscar-winner Hudson plays the personal assistant (PA) of the movie's main character, Carrie Bradshaw, portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker.
In the film, Parker dons 80 different outfits, but Hudson's less glamorous character didn't have the same high fashion privileges.
Hudson, who admits she hadn't even watched the 'Sex and the City' TV series before she landed the part in the film, practiced for her role by swapping jobs with her real-life PA.
She added in Scotland's Daily Record newspaper: "I'm not that organised, and I can't work a computer at all. But I did switch roles with my assistant to get the feel of it. I don't think I did too good a job."
'Sex and the City: The Movie' opens in cinemas from May 28 onward.
