American Idol - Paula Abdul says she has a crush on Simon Cowell

American Idol judge Paula Abdul has claimed she has a subconscious crush on fellow judge Simon Cowell, it has emerged.
The singer and choreographer claimed she has a soft spot for the British judge, despite Simon's reputation as TV's Mr Nasty.
She suggested her attraction to Simon was like a secret crush "in a really weird Freudian way" and suggested that the judging panel - which also includes producer and bass player Randy Jackson - has "a good work balance".
"We've all had moments where we've walked off because of Simon, but he's even walked off because of himself," Paula said.
Meanwhile, in America, Simon recently made headlines when he helped a US couple pay off their mortgage.
The music mogul made the generous gift on US talk show Oprah after the couple admitted they had struggled financially after their daughter was diagnosed with cancer.
Simon declared he would be the girl's "guardian angel" and told the family to contact him if they had any problems.
He appeared on the daytime talk show with X Factor winner Leona Lewis, who is currently promoting her debut album in the US.
