American Idol - Jordin Sparks says she fancied Simon Cowell
Monday, 31 March 2008
Former American Idol winner Jordin Sparks has claimed she used to have a crush on Simon Cowell, it has been reported.
Jordin told Metro that before she appeared on American Idol as a contestant, she thought the British judge was "very cute".
"I think there was a time when I had a crush on Simon, but it was when I used to watch the show, not when I was on it," she added.
The 18-year-old singer - whose new single Tattoo is released in the UK today - also claimed she is a fan of the Spice Girls and revealed that the first record she ever bought was a Spice Girls cassette tape.
"Mel B was my favourite, followed by Emma," Jordin said, expressing regret she did not get to attend the girl group's much-publicised reunion tour.
In related news, metalunderground.com reported this weekend that Jordin is set to appear alongside Alice Cooper in a new episode of US cable television programme Building Phoenix, which showcases development in the Arizona city.
The episode is set to air in the US on April 2nd.
