American Idol - Crying Sanjaya Malakar fan back for more

Ashley Ferl, the teenager who became an overnight celebrity in the US for weeping over Sanjaya Malakar, is back in the American Idol audience.
The 13-year-old, dubbed the "crying girl" by the US media following her appearance in the studio audience on the 2007 "British invasion"-themed performance night, is rumoured to be back with a new American Idol crush.
Dreadlocked Jason Castro is the object of Ashley's affections this season, Access Hollywood reported, citing US magazine People.
The news source claims Ashley is now "crying her eyes out" over Jason, who has also reportedly received several postcards from another female fan.
The 20-year-old Texas native, who auditioned in Dallas, claims in his American Idol profile that he is inspired by a number of bands from the US state.
He added that his favourite singer-songwriter is Ray Lamontagne and Kirk Baxley is his favourite performer.
Although Jason has been applauded by judge Paula Abdul for "staying true to who you are" on recent episodes, Simon Cowell has stated that the singer needs to take the competition "a little bit more seriously" if he wants to advance.
