American Idol - Simon Cowell shows off new sports car

Simon Cowell has been photographed zooming around Los Angeles in a flashy new sports car, it has emerged.
The American Idol judge splashed out $1 million (£600,000) on a black Bugatti Veyron, the Daily Mail reported this week.
It is thought that Simon made the purchase in October during a "huge car-buying spree" in which he also purchased a Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe in the UK for around £300,000, the newspaper claimed.
Simon, who is reported to be a speed enthusiast, currently holds the eighth-fastest overall time for the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car segment of the BBC's Top Gear and also owns a Ferarri.
Meanwhile, on American Idol Simon claimed there are currently "three great guys and three great girls" who he thinks have a chance of winning the current series.
The Press Association reported that Simon is a fan of Amanda Overmeyer, as well as the three Davids - David Cook, David Archuleta and David Hernandez.
And although he said he thinks the show's male contestants are stronger than the female singers this year, he added he likes "people who go out there and take a few risks".
