Estelle is set to fight it out with Duffy, Kate Nash and Amy Winehouse for the Best Female award, while The Ting Tings are up against Glasvegas, Foals and The Wombats for the XFM Live Breakthrough accolade.

The shortlist was compiled by a panel of music experts, with fans choosing the overall winners in each category via internet and text message voting.

The previous two awards ceremonies were hosted by BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles.

Other guest presenters will be announced over the coming weeks.
