Tim Burgess' Ant admiration
Monday, 8 September 2008
Tim Burgess is inspired by Adam and the Ants.
The Charlatans frontman - who performed a cover of 'Ant Music' with Carl Barat on a UK TV show last week - chose the track because he admires the 80s group's ambition and drama.

He said: "Adam and The Ants music seemed quite an obvious choice.
"They were so ambitious in what they did. The early 80s was a very ambitious time for pop music. It was so flamboyant. Adam and The Ants were the next step from David Bowie. They had the same theatre, drama and ambition.
"They had everything from the look to the lyrics - they were a modern day Ziggy Stardust."
Tim also revealed who his dream collaboration would be.
He told 4Music: "I would like to see The Horrors and The Klaxons do something together. It would be noisy, creepy, psychedelic. A mess I suppose!"
