The Enemy's multi tracks
Friday, 29 August 2008
The Enemy have written over 30 songs for their new album.
The 'Had Enough' hitmakers say they have been writing prolifically, but are not yet ready to return to the studio to begin work on the follow up to debut release 'We'll Live and Die In These Towns'.
Bassist Andy Hopkins told BBC Radio 1: "We don't want to set a date and rush it. Whenever we're happy with it we will release it. We're hoping it will be out sometime next year but we'll have to wait and see.

"We've got literally about 30 tunes. We're picking the best of them at the minute but we keep writing more."
Andy also moved to quash fears the band will find recording their second album hard.
He added: "Everybody is saying this album will be difficult but it's not, it's exactly the same.
"There's bands that take 20 years to release their first album. We were only together a few months before we released our first album.
"It's not a difficult album if you can write albums and we can. Hopefully everyone will like it."
