Rage Against The Machine spark protest
Thursday, 4 September 2008
Zack de la Rocha and Tom Morello sparked a 200-strong protest after police reportedly refused to let them perform at a political rally on Tuesday (02.09.08)
The Rage Against The Machine musicians - famed for criticising the US government in their lyrics - sang some of their hit tracks over a megaphone at Minnesota's left-wing event Ripple Effect, backed by angry fans.

The pair belted out hits including 'Bulls On Parade' and 'Killing In The Name' from behind barriers, and led the protestors in a chorus of the group's signature line 'F**k you, I won't do what you tell me'.
The band were said to have arrived too late to be allowed to play, but stage manager Caitlin Burns claims the cops were to blame.
She said: "A state patrolman held the band and wouldn't let them enter until it was too late."
