Kate Nash's tour prompt
Tuesday, 7 October 2008
Kate Nash plans to release an album next summer - if she can tour first.
The 'Foundations' singer says the only way to force herself to complete writing new songs is to play some live shows in order to give herself a deadline.
She explained: "I'm writing, it's really exciting just to have some time off and I'm just making demos really on my computer like I used to.
"I'm doing a couple of small gigs because I start writing songs and then I leave them for ages and the only way to really force myself to finish them is if I'm like, 'Oh my God, I'd better do this live'. Then I have to write something.
"Hopefully by January I'll be back in the studio. I want to do be doing stuff in spring or summer."
Kate's debut album 'Made Of Bricks', topped the UK charts last year.
