Dave Grohl's supergroup
Friday, 3 July 2009
Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and Led Zepplin's John Paul Jones are working on an album together.
The Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age frontmen have reportedly been joined in a Los Angeles recording studio by the rocker for an unnamed secret project, it has been claimed.
The trio are remaining tight-lipped on their plans but Josh's wife, Brody Dalle has indicated she has heard some of their material.
The Spinnerette singer said: "I'm not at liberty to talk about it but I think the project is pretty f**king amazing. Just beats and sounds like you've never heard before."
The collaboration has been expected for several years.
In 2005, 'Monkey Wrench' singer Dave spoke about the venture in an interview.
He said: "The next project that I'm trying to initiate involves me on drums, Josh Homme on guitar, and John Paul Jones playing bass. That's the next album. That wouldn't suck."
