Lily Allen reunited The Specials
Monday, 11 May 2009
Lily Allen has been credited for reuniting The Specials.
The 'Too Much Too Young' stars are currently touring again after their successful show at Bestival last September - the first time they had played together since 1981 - and say it took the 24-year-old 'Fear' singer to get them back together.
The ska group had several aborted attempts at reuniting in the 90s but only put their differences behind them when Lily invited frontman Terry Hall and singer/guitarist Lynval Golding to join her on stage at the 2007 Glastonbury Festival.
Lunval is quoted as saying: "Lily does what she does brilliantly. She helped push us back together when she got Terry Hall back with Neville Staple at Glastonbury in 2007.
"She played a massive part in it. I love her to bits."
