Stephen Graham's crew coaching
Wednesday, 1 July 2009
Stephen Graham hangs out with film crews to perfect his accents.
The Liverpool-born actor says he has a good ability to learn different dialects and has been practising for a forthcoming role as gangster Al Capone by socialising away from the casts of his projects.
He explained to BANG Showbiz: "I spend all my time with the teamsters, the drivers, because they're all from New York. I hang around with them and eat Italian food.
"The thing with a New York accent is that the rhythms are similar, I've watched a lot of the early films to try and capture the authenticity of it. It's great fun."
Despite his Stateside successes, the 'Public Enemies' actor has no plans to permanently leave the UK.
He added: "It's great, but I'll always come home to work with because that's my occupation. To me that's my bread and butter."
