Nicolas Cage's Ghost hope
Friday, 17 July 2009
Nicolas Cage doesn't want 'Ghost Rider 2' to be a sequel.
The actor has agreed to reprise his role as motorcycle-riding spirit of vengeance Johnny Blaze for a new movie, but hopes bosses will consider a reboot of the comic book franchise, rather than a direct follow-up.
He told MTV News: "I would like to do a reconceive. I would like to go in a whole other direction, and I think that's what they're talking about."
Nicolas reportedly wants the movie to see his character travelling to Europe to join forces with the Catholic church.
He added: "I would make it much less of a Western and more of an international story."
'Ghost Rider 2' is reportedly currently without a director or writer.
