Mike Myers' Quentin thrill

Mike Myers' Quentin thrill

Monday, 6 October 2008

Mike Myers says he is "thrilled" to be working with Quentin Tarantino on new movie 'Inglorious B*****ds'.

The 'Austin Powers' star - who plays Ed Fenech, a military mastermind who devises the plan to take on the Nazi soldiers in the war film - admits he was stunned when he was offered the chance to live out his childhood dream.

He said: "I am so thrilled. I can't believe I got the call, to be honest with you. It's one of those unbelievable, magical calls that you get.

"I get to play a British general. I get to be in a World War II movie, which has been my goal since I think I was, like, six years old. And I get to play one of those brainiac British generals."

Mike also revealed despite being in the movie industry for the past 16 years, he trusts the director's "vision" implicitly.

He added: "Tarantino is amazing. He has such a complete vision of how he wants it to go. I feel like I am a tube of paint in his painting, and it is a very beautiful feeling."

Mike stars alongside Brad Pitt and Diane Kruger in the upcoming film.
