Johnny Depp's cameo hope
Thursday, 25 June 2009
Johnny Depp wants a cameo in the '21 Jump Street' movie.
The 'Public Enemies' star - who shot to fame in 1987 as Officer Tom Hanson in the undercover police TV drama - says he would love the chance to appear in Jonah Hill's forthcoming adaptation.
He said: "If we find the right thing to do, it could be very funny. It sounds like a great idea. It'd be hilarious."
Jonah recently revealed he has already written a role for Johnny in his movie, but didn't expect the actor to agree to appear.
He said last month: "We wrote a really awesome Johnny Depp cameo. I talked to his agent a few times. I've never met the man. He probably won't do it, but if he does, it will be one I think he'd be proud of, and it's a real crowd pleaser. It's not cheesy."
