Happy Batman George Clooney
Friday, 3 October 2008
George Clooney doesn't regret playing Batman.
The 'Burn After Reading' star played the superhero in 'Batman and Robin', his first major movie role, and despite being a commercial success, the film was widely panned by critics. However, while George agrees with the negative opinions of his performance, he insists it was a good experience.
He said: "I don't regret anything. With hindsight it's easy to look back at 'Batman and Robin' and go, 'Woah! that was really s**t, and I was really bad in it'.
"The truth is, 'Batman' is still the biggest break I ever had. It changed my career. I wouldn't be doing this now if it hadn't been for 'Batman'."
George originally shot to fame playing Dr. Doug Ross in hit US TV series 'E.R' but made the breakthrough into movies with 1997's 'Batman and Robin'.
