Gerard Butler's script struggle
Friday, 24 July 2009
Gerard Butler forgets his lines if he has too many.
The actor admits he struggled to memorise his script for 'The Ugly Truth' because he had so much to learn, despite having it for months before filming started.
He said: "Her process is good and mine is bad. I had months to prepare and I still I still forgot my lines But then again, I had a lot to say. In my defense I never f**king shut up in this movie. 'Blah, blah, blah?' and then 'blah, blah, blah?'"
While he struggled with his lines for the film, Gerard took dancing lessons to prepare but admits he would have struggled with the scene if it hadn't been for the abilities of his co-star Katherine Heigl.
He added: "I took a few dancing lessons because I had no idea what I was doing. I actually had a lesson from Julianne Hough from 'Dancing with the Stars' and that took me a long way along the way. But Katherine was just on it and she had it right away. That's why it came alive, because to be honest if I was dancing with somebody who wasn't that great, it would have been a disaster. Katie was on it and I wasn't."
