Bill Nighy's CGI struggle
Friday, 31 July 2009
Bill Nighy felt like a "stupid person making 'G-Force'.
The actor loved playing evil billionaire Leonard Saber in the Disney guinea pig action adventure but admits filming so much of the movie with CGI techniques took its toll.
He said: "It was just a groovy job. It was the sweetest engagement and they looked after you really well.
"Mostly you end up talking to yourself, like a stupid person, or imagining that they are in the corner of the room or something.
"But doing voices is tough too in its own sweet way - trying to get it right in a cubicle with no-one else there. It isn't the most satisfying thing."
Despite a string of his movies behind him, the 'Love Actually' star insists he doesn't know what the future will hold for him.
He added: "What's next? I've no idea. I never have a way forward. Someone asked me yesterday what was my Plan B. I said I had no Plan A. I really don't. I improvise my life. I don't have any sense of the future, or any sense of direction... I have no rudder."
