Ben Kingsley's drug marvel
Friday, 29 August 2008
Sir Ben Kingsley found pretending to smoke marijuana "marvellous".
The actor portrays a therapist who regularly consumes the drug in his new movie 'The Wackness' and insists he had no problem with the scenes because it allowed him to experience something new.
He said: "Anything that I am completely unused to discovering is marvellous, It is a bonus. I knew nothing about bongs, really, I found them terrifying. Therefore it allowed me to allow him to do something as he has never done it before.

"Even though he is an addicted pot smoker, he always takes a joint as he has never seen one before. It might have been ten minutes since his last joint, he never quite knows what to do with it."
The 65-year-old star also insists he had no problem working with such a young cast and crew - including sharing a love scene with 20-year-old Mary-Kate Olsen.
He added to movies.ie: "I get tremendous buzz out of working with everybody. I love reacting. To be able to react to all this beautiful energy in this extraordinary wackness world around me. I do love my job."
