Tana Ramsay makes TV bid
Wednesday, 29 July 2009
Gordan Ramsay's wife Tana is desperate to be a TV star.
The feisty chef's spouse of 13 years -who was recently spotted auditioning for a place on ITV's 'Dancing on Ice' - is determined to make a name for herself as a television personality and rival her husband's TV career.
A source said: "Tana's in hot demand at the moment. She's been approached by both the BBC and ITV and she's feeling full of confidence."
Last November Tana -who has four children with Gordon - was left devastated over claims the 'Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares' and former 'Hell's Kitchen' star had a seven-year affair with serial mistress and author Sarah Symonds.
Gordon denied the rumours but now the accusations have subsided, is keen to take a backseat and help the 35-year-old schoolteacher focus on her TV career instead.
The source added to Britain's Closer magazine: "It was deeply humiliating for Tana but she's put on a brave face and she's held things together for the sake of her family.
"Gordon finally realised how lucky he is and it's given him a huge wake-up call. He's really changed the way he treats her.
"He's giving Tana more time on her own career. She's keen to make it on TV and will work her a**e off to get there."
Meanwhile Tana's husband Gordon -who has recently been hit with financial problems - has apologised to his television rival, chef Antony Worrall Thomspon.
Gordon had sparked a rivalry with the 'Ready, Steady Cook' chef after branding him a "squashed Bee Gee" and claiming he "can't cook to save his life".
Antony said Gordon told him: "He said, 'I want to wish you luck'
"I asked why and he said, 'when you're down you realise you shouldn't have done what you did.' "
