Adele's Ray ambition
Monday, 27 October 2008
Adele is desperate to work with Ray LaMontagne.
The British singer, who is about to start writing songs for her second album, would love to record a track with the 'Trouble' folk rock musician.
She said: "I really want to do a duet with Ray LaMontagne for the second record. I reckon it will be more like a collaboration because he's really good. He has such a fantastic voice.
"I'm not really nervous about writing the new album. You are only as good as your next record anyway."
Adele, whose debut LP '19' was nominated for a prestigious Mercury Prize, also says she loved working with rocker Jack White and his band The Raconteurs on a cover version of their track 'Many Shades of Black'.
She explained: "I was meant to record with Jack in Nashville but he had to go and do the James Bond theme tune with Alicia Keys.
"I thought I would never get to meet him, but then they came into the studio in Shepherd's Bush and we did it. Jack is very intense and really likes to look into people's eyes."
