X Factor's Dermot O'Leary popular with the ladies

30 October 2007 - X Factor host Dermot O'Leary has topped the list of the famous men British women would most like as a partner.

The 34-year-old, who also has a fan in fiery judge Sharon Osbourne, received 32 per cent of the vote as part of a survey by the Wedding TV channel.

Other celebrity hunks who made the list of good partners include Brad Pitt, with 21 per cent of the vote, and David Beckham, whose charms appealed to 12 per cent of respondents.

Prince William, Gordon Brown, Paul McCartney, England footballer Frank Lampard, Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles and Tony Blair rounded out the list.

Claire Thrift of Wedding TV suggested that Dermot's boy-next-door appeal may be what caught women's attention.

"Brad and Becks may have the chiselled looks women love, but Dermot is a real cheeky chappie who's not afraid to show his more sensitive side," she remarked.

"It seems women throughout the UK have really taken him into their hearts as well as their TV sets and we don't blame Mrs O for being just a little bit infatuated!"

Dermot recently praised Sharon to the Sun, calling her a "wonderful, adorable woman".
