X Factor finalists hidden from press

Thursday, 4 October 2007

Finalists in the most recent X Factor have been reportedly forced to hide in a secret location to avoid having their identities revealed.

The 12 singers and bands who have made it to the finals were supposed to move into the X Factor's luxury mansion, but the Daily Star reports that Simon Cowell has delayed the move.

He fears that one of the neighbours will leak the location of the property to the press before the finalists can be unveiled on an upcoming show.

An insider told the publication: "Simon and the producers had tried desperately to keep the names of the lucky finalists under wraps until this weekend but sadly word got out.

"They don't want to take any more chances so instead of moving the singers into the house this week, they're waiting til Sunday - the day viewers are told who's made it."

Meanwhile, William Hill is offering 8/1 odds that musical group Hope will win X Factor, while Dannii Minogue is the 15/8 favourite to be the winning manager on the show. Simon Cowell is second favourite at 2/1.

Dannii Minogue recently confessed that Simon Cowell once invited her to go to a strip club with him.
