Marc Bannerman is learning Welsh to impress Cerys Matthews.

The 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' love rat - who fell for fellow contestant Cerys in the jungle, despite being in a long-term relationship with Sarah Matravers at the time - is learning Welsh so he can woo his new love in her first language.

Marc, 34, said: "Her mum only speaks in Welsh so I need to learn it fast otherwise I might as well talk to the wall."

The former 'EastEnders' star and Cerys, 38, have been staying in a cottage next door to her family in their Pembrokeshire village.

A source said: "Marc is very serious about Cerys and wants to learn Welsh to impress her and make a good impression on her family. Even her two young children speak it, so Marc is hoping he will get the hang of it quickly."

Meanwhile, the two lovebirds were spotted having their first row while watching a drag cabaret show at London's Soho revue bar.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "They had a big bust up. Marc tried to lighten the mood by throwing a chip at Cerys, but she just blanked him."
