Spice Girls: Talentless and unattractive
Tuesday, 14 August 2007
The Spice Girls are talentless and unattractive, according to music mogul Louis Walsh.
The Irish 'X Factor' judge claims the recently reunited girl band can't sing and are uglier than Girls Aloud - who he previously managed.
Louis raged to Britain's Star magazine: "The Spice Girls are very lucky and very overrated.
"They're only reuniting because they have nothing else to do, nothing else is happening in their lives. One's just the wife of a soccer star and the others are not on the radar. They're well past their sell-by date.
"They're nice girls but just too overrated. I'm sick of them.
"None of them can sing and their music is not half as good as Girls Aloud's. Girls Aloud are also better looking.
"The Spice Girls appealed to little girls. It wasn't good music. Those girls are just not talented - one-trick ponies."
The 55-year-old also slammed Robbie Williams and Will Young.
He said: "It's great what's happened with Take That getting back together, and they didn't need Robbie. He's overrated and has lost his sense of reality. He should be grateful that he has been so successful with not a lot of talent. I don't like his voice."
Louis insists he does enjoy Will's music, but can't stand his personality.
He added: "Will Young is too pretentious. His albums have done well. 'Leave Right Now' was a fantastic song, but I'm not keen on him."
But Louis has nothing but praise for fresh British talents Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse.
He said: "I love Lily Allen, and I especially love Amy Winehouse.
"These are talented girls who also have charisma. Both are representing UK talent abroad. Give me Amy Winehouse's music any day. She makes credible music."
