Simon Cowell is "obsessed" with the colour white.

'The X Factor' judge's brother Tony - who made the revelation in a new interview to promote his spoof book 'The Secret Diary of Simon Cowell' - claims the TV star doesn't want any other in his house.

He said: "Simon is obsessed with the colour white. His house is hysterical because there are about 30 shades of white in it!

"It starts with a white marble floor downstairs and then you go upstairs where it changes to a different type of white. He's never been a great fan of colour - and the same goes for his fashion sense!"

Tony also revealed Simon is an incredibly generous man, who is completely different to his 'Mr. Nasty' on-screen image.

He added: "Simon spent £250,000 on our mother's 80th birthday three years ago. He hired The Savoy hotel in London and got cars to bring her friends there from all over the country. He also does a lot of charity work.

"But Simon has had money on the mind since a very young age - I remember he used to wash the neighbours' cars for pocket money at the age of six!"
