Russell Brand uses a weather chart to protect his hair from the elements.
The TV presenter keeps a constant check on the forecasts to prevent his famous locks from being disturbed by gusting winds or heavy rain.
A source claimed: "Most Brits are obsessed with the weather but Russell has taken it further with a chart in his hall.
"He keeps it updated - checking it every day to see what the weather's going to be like over the next few days. He writes on it every day and notes both long-range forecasts and local weather vanes. That way he can plan and avoid what is in store.
"His hair may look a bit of a mess but in reality Russell takes a lot of time getting it just right."
The 32-year-old star recently revealed he may be forced to part with his beloved hair for a film role.
He said: "I expect I will finally get my hair cut because I am doing films now and it can't always be, 'Napoleon entered, he has got real long daft hair'.
"I even have dreams about having my hair cut and I wake up and I am like, 'Thank god, I didn't have my hair cut'."
