Kristen Stewart thinks appearing in the 'Twilight' series could have made her a "psychopath".
The 19-year-old actress, who plays Bella in the vampire film franchise, decided to take on different roles while making the 'Twilight' movies to ensure she didn't become too immersed in them.
Kristen - who recently shot 'The Runaways', in which she portrays musician Joan Jett - explained: "I think I would have been a psychopath by the end of a four-year stint on the 'Twilight' saga without anything like that to change it up."
Kristen admits she was unaware how much her life would change when she took on the role of Bella, who falls in love with vampire Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson.
She now finds it hard to complete everyday tasks without being mobbed by fans, but is convinced the interest in her life will die down.
She added to Interview magazine: "I have a really strong feeling that this is going to go away, that this is the most intense it's going to get - and could get - and that it's fleeting.
"I'd like to take more walks after work, instead of having to come back to my hotel room and not leave.
"Some nights, I think, 'You know what? I don't care. I'm just going to do what I want to do.' Then the next day I think, 'Ugh. Now everyone thinks I'm going out to get the attention.' But it's like, 'No, I actually, for a second, thought that maybe I could be like a normal person.' "
