Poor Robert Pattinson had to wear wigs to get Edward Cullen's hair the right colour.

The head hairstylist for Twilight used the wigs before changing Rob's actual hair.

She explained to InStyle: "The production notes specified Edward as an absolutely stunning and heart stopping young man, with creamy gleaming skin, golden eyes and hair that looks like marble.

"We created this hair color masterpiece through advanced highlighting techniques and a brand new method that I dubbed "twilights," which utilizes lighter and darker natural colors to add maximum contrast."

Originally Edward was going to have long hair but Rob hated the idea of wearing wigs.

We are so glad he protested as Edward's hair is so much hotter now.

The hairstylist found Rob's hair a lot easier to do than Ashley Greene's hair.

Ashley had to wear a wig to make Alice's pixie style.

She explains: "Ashley's hair is long and thick so it was a challenge to get it all in the wig."
