Robert Pattinson vowed that Edward Cullen would not be cheesy.
Rob told TV Hits: "Very early on, I made some very strong decisions about how I was going to play Edward and stuck by them, and didn't really care what anyone said. (Laughs)

"I didn't want him to be cheesy.
"A lot of movies are cashing in on young adult books and I really didn't want it to be that."
When they asked Rob whether he thought twice about playing Edward because he had played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter he replied: "No, not at all.
"Edward is such a completely different part to what I did in Harry.
"The actual story is nothing like Harry Potter either. Twilight is set in the real world.
"I only had a bit part in Harry Potter. I died, that's all I did." (Laughs).
