New Look throws a pile of cash in hope at Pixie Geldof
Friday, 25 July 2008
Teenage rock-offspring Pixie Geldof has reportedly signed an £80,000, yes EIGHTY THOUSAND POUND deal with New Look to design and model a fashion line.
This is less than a year after the women's fashion shop struck a similar deal with indie-popper Lily Allen.
But whereas Allen's collection one flopped, Pixie's is reportedly tipped for great things.
Her megabucks deal covers just one collection of an 8-piece range of clothes, and a source told the Mirror: "Whereas Lily's was met with a slightly muted response, Pixie's is expected to race out of stores."
"The deal is virtually identical to the one Lily signed.
"She (Pixie) is a stunning girl and intrinsically fashionable. She dresses totally uniquely and in a quirky, fun way.
"Money can't buy you style but Pixie flaunts hers effortlessly. She's a brilliant role model for young fashionistas."
New Look bosses are understood to be hoping further ranges will be produced if the clothes are a hit with high street shoppers.
Pixie is expected to model the outfits at a fashion show in the London flagship store on launch night.
