Tito Jackson's live tribute to Michael
Thursday, 20 August 2009
Tito Jackson will play his late brother Michael's hits on tour.
The singer will be watched by the rest of his family on the eight-date jaunt across the UK, in support of Gladys Knight's 'Midnight Train To Love - Farewell Tour'.
As well as performing many of Michael's songs and Jackson 5 tracks, he also plans to debut material from his forthcoming new album, set for global release this year.
Tito said: "The UK was a very special place to my brother Michael and I'm so excited to be able to pay my respects to his fans there.
"To be able to do this while supporting our dear friend Gladys is a complete blessing.
"Not many people know this, but it was actually Gladys who introduced my brothers and I to Berry Gordy which led to us signing to Motown Records and the rest, as they say, is history."
The tour - which sees Tito backed by 14-piece band The Funk Brothers - begins on October 6 in Manchester and then stops at London, Nottingham, Sheffield, Liverpool, Cardiff and Aberdeen.
Tickets for the tour are on sale now priced at £40 and £50.
