Mel B left her newborn daughter alone with her cleaner for four days when she eloped, it has been claimed.
The Spice Girl's former housekeeper, Tonia Lamere, says the singer abandoned two-month-old Angel Iris when she ran away to Las Vegas with lover Stephen Belafonte to get married in June.
Lamere told America's Star magazine: "One evening of baby-sitting turned into four days.
"The child was sick, there was no nanny, and when Mel called, she never even asked about the baby."
The cleaner - who is reportedly involved in Mel's child support battle with Angel's father Eddie Murphy - also claims she had to buy food for Angel and her eight-year-old half-sister, Phoenix Chi, with her own money.
A representative for 32-year-old Mel has denied the accusations, saying Lamere is just looking to make some cash.
She said: "Melanie is a hands-on mother completely dedicated to the upbringing of her children and the well-being of her entire family. Any fictitious accusations to the contrary stem from greedy people looking to make a buck."
